Happy 1st Birthday, Porter Braun

Snow, Snow, Snow

Just a fun picture of Scott from his mission showing how much snow they have in Delaware. He joked that he doesn't feel very safe there since there have been more "state of emergency" days in two weeks then he has ever had in his life!

Anyway- keep in mind that Scott is not a short kid when you look at how much snow there is. At least those boots are getting used!

Elder Scott Mathie

Elder Scott Mathie went into the MTC on December 30th. My parents are now officially empty-nesters. Luckily they have plenty of grandkids near by to keep them busy! Here is a picture of Scott on the cold, snowy day he was dropped off at the MTC.

They don't do the program anymore that they used to do when missionaries are dropped off. No more movie, etc. Instead, missionaries are just dropped off at the curb. Not sure how I feel about that- I think I would have more "closure" if we had gone to some sort of program or something. It sure made it sad to drive away from Monroe after he was set apart as a missionary! I'm so proud of my little brother and can't wait for him to get out in the field in Philadephia Pennsylvania!

Oh... and Steve and I are expecting baby #2 in August.
